Gherardo Felloni
The Italian designer Gherardo Felloni has presided over the House of Roger Vivier as Creative Director since 2018, infusing the collections with his joyful, decorative spirit – evolving the legacy of the founder with his worldly design language for today.
Born in Tuscany into a family of footwear artisans, Gherardo grew up surrounded by the art of fine shoemaking. His innate artistic talent and a keen sense of curiosity saw the young craftsman hone his talents as a designer under the tutelage of Helmut Lang, before spending over a decade between the footwear, leather goods and accessories studios of Miu Miu, Prada and Christian Dior.
Opera singer, film buff, nature lover and antique jewellery collector: Gherardo’s diverse passions and interests imbue his creations and the visual universe of Roger Vivier with a vibrant energy season after season. From short films featuring Hollywood’s leading ladies, to the theatrical wonderland of the larger-than-life Hôtel Vivier presentations for Paris haute couture week, his fantastical imagination marries the Parisian luxury of Roger Vivier with a sense of wonderment and cultural flair.
