Gaia Repossi

Gaia Repossi was born in 1986 in Turin, Italy. She studied painting at the Beaux Arts of Paris, and obtained a Master degree in archeology. During her studies, Gaia gradually entered the world of Repossi. In 2007, at the age of 21, Gaia was appointed creative and artistic director of the house. The same house her grandfather founded in 1952. Her references come from her passion for contemporary art and the effects of metal within modern sculpture and architecture.

Gaia also collaborated with well-known photographers such as David Sims, Juergen Teller and Glen Luchford and many more to develop the image of her collections. She recently collaborated closely with the Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation to launch a limited edition Tribute Collection. The house is now part of the Luxury group lvmh since 2019. Gaia Repossi collaborated with the Robert Mapplethorpe Foundation to create the Repossi/Mapplethorpe tribute collection inspired from the iconic jewelry and artworks of the artist in 202, shot by the photographer Collier Schorr. The Limited Edition tribute collection was shown at Gagosian New York, in May 2021.
