Valerie Messika
Valérie Messika discovered diamonds at a young age thanks to her father André, a renowned diamond dealer. Very early on, he introduced her to his unique expertise, sparking Valerie’s passion for the exceptional stone. The relationship that Valerie had with diamonds during her childhood is an inspiration in her designs today.
After studying communications at CELSA Sorbonne in Paris, she joined Chanel in 1999, where she immersed herself in the world of fashion, but the world of diamonds quickly caught up with her and soon she joined her father to discover the inner workings of his profession. They set off on a world-wide voyage together: India, Antwerp, Place Vendôme; a journey between father and daughter which marked the beginning of a great adventure. Driven by boundless creative energy and revolutionary ideas, Valérie Messika felt that she could bring something new to the world of High Jewelry.
2005 brought her intuition to fruition and marked the beginning of Maison Messika.
In 2012, Valérie Messika designed her first High Jewelry collection and the following year opened her very first Parisian Flagship boutique at 259 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. Her innovative designs and growing success appealed to many celebrities such as Charlize Theron, Rihanna, Selena Gomez, Kendall Jenner, Kristen Stewart, Natalia Vodianova and many others.
Messika’s iconic moments include co-creations with Gigi Hadid in 2017 and 2018, the international expansion of the Maison alongside Valérie’s meeting with Kate Moss in 2019. Valérie Messika and the world-famous supermodel went on to create a High Jewelry collection in two opuses in 2020 and 2021, presented with a revolutionary fashion show.
In 2022, Valérie turned to the iconic Kendall Jenner to become the new face of Messika; a great success that extended into 2023. That same year, Valérie Messika also invited Alton Mason to represent the Maison alongside Kendall.
In 2023, Valérie was awarded the honorary title of Knight of the Legion of Honour.
