Laurie Lynn Stark

Laurie Lynn Stark’s insatiable passion for art and design has been a lifetime expedition. Having gained acclaim as a swimsuit designer at a remarkably young age, Laurie began to hone her multidisciplinary art practice, including photography and costume design.

Laurie Lynn’s inherent understanding of style is evident in the jewelry, accessories, apparel, and home furnishings she designs for Chrome Hearts, which she co-owns with her husband, Richard, and their children, Jesse Jo, Frankie Belle, and Kristian Stark. Evoking the colorful and feminine side of the brand, Laurie constantly pursues different fabrics, techniques, and styles that exemplify the brand’s distinct sensibility.

With no less zeal, Laurie also plays a major role in the business side of Chrome Hearts. Following her natural creative instinct, she disregarded the traditional business organization to build an environment that cultivates innovation in marketing and communications. The result is a business culture that is as creative and strategic, eclectic and passionate as the design process itself.

As a photographer, Laurie Lynn’s library is a stunning work of intrigue, with her photography appearing in publications, international table books, exhibitions around the world, and in the homes of many private collectors.

Laurie Lynn has become a force within business and has parlayed her unique approach into other ventures she now owns, including a global real estate company and a swimwear line called Dipped in Blue (with her daughter Frankie Belle). She also previously owned the LA-based cashmere brand, The Elder Statesman.

In Stark’s capable hands, these companies thrive in an incredibly modern way that traditional organizations would not—always with a firm focus on artistry first.
